Across the retailers that carry it, Hers holds a 4.0 rating across 182 reviews at Target and a 4.1 across 318 reviews at Nordstrom, checked 2026-07-02. The compliments repeat:

1. It tastes good and is easy to take. This is the most common praise by a wide margin (Target and Nordstrom reviews).

The ingredient evidence, honestly

This is the part worth slowing down for. What follows is our own read of the three actives, based on the published research on each ingredient. We are making no claim about what the Hers page itself cites.

Ashwagandha is the one that earns its place. Two randomized, placebo-controlled trials in women found real improvement in desire and arousal (PMID 26504795, 50 women, and a second trial of 80 women, PMC9701317). Both are honest wins for the ingredient. Here is the catch. Both dosed 600 mg a day, split as 300 mg twice daily, of a specific standardized root extract, taken for eight weeks. Hers delivers 300 mg once a day of a generic 10:1 extract. Right ingredient, half the daily amount the trials used, and a different extract from the one those trials tested.

Damiana is thinner. The human evidence for damiana sits almost entirely in combination products, where it is bundled with ingredients like L-arginine, ginseng, and ginkgo. When a blend like that helps, you cannot hand the credit to damiana on its own. As a solo 150 mg ingredient, it is close to unproven.

Ginkgo is the weakest of the three for this use. The main trial, 99 women, found that ginkgo on its own did not meaningfully change sexual function (PMID 18274887). That study used roughly 300 mg. Hers uses 120 mg, below even the dose that failed to do much. Ginkgo showed anything only when it was paired with sex therapy, which a gummy cannot supply.

So one of the three ingredients has desire-specific research behind it, and Hers under-doses that one against the trials. The other two are thin or negative at doses that sit at or above what is in the gummy.

Now the part that has to cut both ways, or none of this is worth reading. NUUD sits in the same spot. Our evidence lives at the ingredient level too. We do not have a trial of our finished gummy.
